      Hello there,

Did you know of a general purpose evolutionary programming system known as
ADATE which is designed for automatic programming of non-trivial algorithms?

      http://www-ia.hiof.no/~rolando/adate_intro.html

The most fundamental insight of ADATE is that it introduces a more natural
bias that is ignored by researchers who try to imitate the behavior of
natural evolution. When the individuals are programs, the natural bias is to
      increase the program-size, therefore complexity.

Since the models ADATE generates are Turing-complete, we can regard this
method as a Strong AI candidate. What do you think? Is it Schmidhuber's Godel
Machine or ADATE that has better chance?

      Best Regards,

PS: ai-philosophy is a yahoo group dedicated to general AI discussion.
