      3RD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON GEOCOMPUTATION

      17-19th September 1998 Bristol UK

      The 1998 Annual GeoComputation Conference will take place
      at the Department of Geography, University of Bristol.

      The Conference will be based around a series of sessions
      related to the following themes and invited Keynote
      Speakers:

      Dynamic Modelling - Peter Burrough
      Geographical Analysis and Explanation Machines - Stan
      Openshaw
      Virtual Libraries - Mike Goodchild
      Modelling Virtual Environments - Mike Batty
      Physical Process Modelling - Malcolm Anderson
      Spatial Data Analysis - Luc Anselin
      Visualising Alternative Geofutures - Keith Clarke
      Diffusion Modelling - Andrew Cliff/Peter Haggett
      Remote Sensing: from Data to Understanding - Paul Curran
      and colleagues
      Concluding Keynote Address - Helen Couclelis

      An accompanying Keynote Book will be available to all
      Conference Delegates at the Conference (included in
      registration costs).

      Additional Keynote contributions and sessions are under
      review.

      Friday 1 8th September Morning Paper Sessions
      3-course Hotel Lunch
      Afternoon Paper Sessions

      Saturday 19th September Morning Paper Sessions
      3-course Hotel Lunch
      Closing Address and Reception


      Accommodation will be provided in the Hawthorns Hotel,
      Woodland Road, Clifton, Bristol which is located 200m
      from the Geography Department.

      Registration Costs for the Conference are as follows:

      Before 1st July 1998:-
      Full Residential - 205 pounds
      Daily Delegate - 110 pounds/day
      Postgraduate Residential (no evening meals) - 125 pounds
      (en-suite priority booking is available for an extra 40 pounds)

      After 1st July 1998:-
      Full Residential - 240 pounds
      Daily Delegate - 120 pounds/day
      Postgraduate Residential (no evening meals) - 160 pounds

      Early booking (prior to 1st July 1998) is advised to guarantee room
      availability.
