      A quick and simple way to avoid the problem is to use parent cell
      estimation.

      If your software does not allow you to do this you could try
      accumulating the tonnes and grade in the sub cells and treating them as
      a unit.

      In practical terms there should be very little variation in the grades
      estimated for a set of subcells.
