Group Description

Agile Management started as a group to discuss the content and thesis of the book, "Agile Management for Software Engineering: applying the Theory of Constraints for Business Results", by David J. Anderson, published by Prentice Hall in September 2003.

David's latest book, "Lessons in Agile Management - On the Road to Kanban" was published in May 2012. This new work includes a compendium of some of the best blog posts from agilemanagement.net and some earlier work, in total spanning 12 years of opinion, information and guidance.

The new book puts leadership, management and change in an Agile context and contemporary commentary explains how the Kanban Method - discussed on the kanbandev Yahoo! group - emerged.

This group invites discussion of the ideas in the "Lessons" book. There is no one formula or prescription or process definition that delivers all the answers, so we want to hear from anyone who can add to our understanding and experience of Agile Management.

[By agreement of the membership, we prefer not to receive commercial posts through this group list. Members who make commercial posts may find them rejected by the moderator. Regular offenders may be asked to leave the group.]
