ANN: UK Lean & Kanban Conference
- The UK Lean & Kanban conference is taking place in London over 3 days from the 27th to the 29th September. It will be a fantastic event. It is very different from the usual approach to conferences, with a focus on getting the very best thinkers and practitioners from around the world at a single occasion.
There are no conference presentations by product vendors selling applications disguised as new innovations and a real focus on giving delegates the top insights into progressive management thinking. There is also a conference dinner with a keynote address from David Anderson with many of the conference speakers in attendance
Speakers include Mary Poppendieck, Alan Shalloway, Don Reinertsen, David Anderson, Kenji Hiranabe and Jeff Patton (both Gordon Pask Award winners), John Seddon, Hal Macomber and Corey Ladas.
Jeff Patton has been a champion of agile usability and has a really interesting presentation for members of this group. In addition Don Reinertsen will be presenting on product development and how lean is not just about removing waste which is one area where usability and innovation have suffered when firms religiously introduce Toyota Lean practices into a product development process.
There are more details on the conference website here www.ukleanconference.com or you can contact the organisers at conference@....
It looks like the event will be a sell out so if you are interested it would be worth registering soon.
