Re: [agile-usability] How much time spent as scrummaster?
- Hi there, I completely agree with you. My last company took it to a level I never seen before. They made Scrum Master a full time job where they would nag developers about cards not being moved over on a board. My previous two employers had the Tech Leads be Scrum Masters and the Scrums last 15 to 20 mins max. The Tech Lead was the Scrum Master because most of the issues were technical in nature and they would have to get them resolved with either the Chief Architect or another Tech Lead.
I was a SCRUM Master but it was not my full time job either. Not sure what the value add is for someone doing that "full time". I find it sort of strange.

Is this something that just takes a few hours per week away from a person's regular job, or is it more like a full time job? Is "scrummaster" another level of bureaucracy in a company, along with manager, director, VP, and so on?I ask because in one company I've seen, they have made it into a full time job, and I was surprised because I thought creating an extra level of bureaucracy was sort of the antithesis of the ideals of agile.I'm not trying to start an argument or anything, just trying to ask what other people are doing.
