Great to hear, Darrell. Just signed up for Age of Conquest with no problem. Tried to sign up for Medieval Diplomacy and Napoleonic Empires and in both cases can’t open the Tutorial file from within the program---get an “Access violation” message. Any ideas? Running Windows XP and, as I said, no problem with Age of Conquest.

      Regards,

Subject: [ageofconquest] Under New Management - Update 5

At last an update on the transfer to new ownership of AGE games with real positives to record.

The updated sites are up, having changed from a windows based server to Linux:

      http://www.agegames.co.uk
      http://www.lords-of-conquest.com

and whilst quite a few issues remain, they are slowly coming together, with the sign-up and diploware download now working for:

      Medieval Warlords
      Age of Conquest
      Napoleonic Empires
      Shogunate

The sign-up for Dragonlords is working, but the diploware download is not functioning at present.

The turn orders upload from the diploware is working in the new download, but there are still issues with the web based turn upload/report download function.
There is a developer working on this currently.

That means playing any test games using e-mail for report delivery to players.

If you keep the original diploware that you may have installed, (so long as it is v3gui.exe), it will run the game turns:
      - however you will not be able to use the auto-send option, and will have to e-mail the turn .sav file to GM@... every time.

Eventually everyone will have to download a fully migrated diploware suite, once all the issues are fixed.

*** SO TO THE MAIN EVENT ***

I am looking to get a test game going in each of the four scenarios above, to try out the game system, and re-awaken the AGE games community to the joys of playing.
There will probably be hiccups and things identified, but that's part of the testing .....

      To remind everyone, that's:
      23 players - Medieval Warlords
19 players - Age of Conquest
      11 players - Napoleonic Empires
      20 players - Shogunate

Usual rules on only 1 game at a time WILL NOT APPLY, unless oversubscribed in any scenario, but the one realm per scenario rule definitely remains.

If you are playing in more than 1 game, only one can be Royal (your choice, but it helps balance in the testing), but for the test games Royalty is free of any donation.

Please sign up via the web pages, even if you have offered to test via the groups, or directly, to make admin simpler.

Updates will follow on the progress to getting any game going.

      Regards

      Darrell/GM
