Africa Kabisa loves the new CD! Here is a description of the upcoming show adapted from www.worldmusic.org: AfroCubism was the original idea for what became the Buena Vista Social Club. But the story goes that a few lost passports meant that the Africans stayed home, so instead another rather fine but different record was made. Now the original plan is finally being realized with an extraordinary group of 13 musicians from Cuba and Mali, including Cuban singer-guitarist Eliades Ochoa, Toumani Diabaté (kora), Bassekou Kouyate (ngoni), Kassé Mady Diabaté (vocals), and Djelimady Tounkara (guitar).
