- We should start a drive to boycott CLEARTRIP and let them know everytime we do so. OR Just a simple mail from all of us that we will not do business with them for this case should wake them up.

Due to the Air India Pilots Strike on 26 September 2009, the flight was cancelled and Air India gave me an acknowledgement of cancellation and told me that the booking agent will be refunding my dues to my credit card from where the payment was made. I waited for some time but the amount did not get refunded.I approached Cleartrip for the same and provided them with all the proofs provided by Air India. Due to some internal problem at their end, the payment has not yet been refunded. Not just this whenever I approach their help line they keep asking me for 2 days period and they say they will get back to me but they never get back. It is me who has to always follow up.Around a month ago, I had warned them that if they do not refund my dues, I will make the complete mail trail public to various groups of whose I am a member.The irony is, these people are not at all sensitive of the issue, they are non apologetic, and they do not even have the courtesy to inform me about the status of my refund. Please refer to the mail trail below. This relationship with Cleartrip Cancellation has tested my patience. Today it has been more than 4 months that my Claim for Cancellation of tickets has not been refunded.
There has been no communication from Cleartrip or Air India since December 2009 when they had last called me.
Over the next 2 days I will be sharing this mail trail with around 4000-5000 people across India who are members of various groups and consumer forums. And would be requesting them to publicize this as much as possible. This would make them aware about the issues that Cleartrip has within its system.

Please refer to my tele conversation with Mr. Cornel on Monday, 21 December 2009 and mails to Cleartrip from 15 October 2009 attached in the mail trail below. I was suppose to receive an update by yesterday, 22 December 2009 End of Day but have not receive any communication either on phone or mail.
On 22 December 2009 I had visited the Air India Ticketing Counter at Mumbai Airport Departure Counter to enquire as to why has the money not been refunded by Air India to Cleartrip. I was informed that the problem is not from Air India but some internal sub-contracting issue at Cleartrip.
I am not bothered about any Cleartrip internal issue. I am running out of patience. Kindly ensure that my money amounting to Rs. 20,957/- is refunded within next few days. If not received, I promise to circulate this mail trail to various forums and consumer forums. Rest assure, you will be CCed on the mails to these forums.
Kindly work out a financial compensation plan and communicate to me how do you plan to compensate my family and me for this mental agony, anxiety and financial loss caused due to the delays on your part and Please confirm by which date will my claim be settled?

Due to a strike called by Air India pilots the Delhi – Jammu flight was cancelled. As per the endorsements and communication from Air India, I am eligible for a full refund of my ticket cost of Rs. 20,957/- to the credit card through which the purchase was made and provide an email confirmation for the same.

7. Other than this we have had almost 15 to 20 calls on the Cleartrip helpline but with no resolution of the problem. I am yet to receive the refund of Rs. 20,957/- for a cancelled Air India Flight.
It has been more that 2 months that the tickets were cancelled. It seems there is a lackadaisical approach from Cleartrip that the refund has not yet been made. In case there is any further delays beyond Sunday, 20 December 2009 to refund the amount of Rs. 20,957/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Seven Only), I will be forced to take appropriate legal action as advised by my attorney and would also attract a financial penalty.
