      The Foot as a Microsystem: Clinical Applications for Pain Management and Functional Issues

      Assessment of wrinkles, calluses, and texture changes on the feet can give clues about structural and organ imbalances, nutritional deficiencies and help pinpoint energy blockages elsewhere in the body.

      Explore the connection between acupuncture points and reflex points, Learn to map the body on the foot, and practice techniques to relieve a variety of conditions. Learn how to choose distal acupuncture points from your foot survey.

      Date: May 18th and 19th Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
      Location: Nutrition World Wellness Center, Chattanooga, TN

      Hours: 13 CE hours (approved by NCBTMB)
      Cost: $275 ($225 if paid in full by April 19th)
      Prerequisite: NONE
      Tuition includes comprehensive reference manual.

      In this class you'll learn how to:

      ~ Detect physical imbalances and nutritional deficiencies by observing wrinkles, calluses and texture changes on the feet
      ~ Practice Acupoint ReflexologyTM techniques for relieving migraines, lumbar pain, menstrual disorders, jaw clenching, insomnia, kidney stones, constipation, fatigue, limited neck and shoulder ROM, lymphatic congestion, sciatica, and more
      ~ Determine new indications for 33 foot/ankle acupoints
      ~ Perform foot mobilization techniques to identify where qi is stuck in the body
