LA LECHE was originally created as an outlet for UK record label sonic360 to showcase new sounds that were emerging from the underground music scenes in Latin America. From its birthplace in London, La Leche spread to New York, and on to Los Angeles, Buenos Aires and Tijuana exposing infectious new latin beats to party-goers hungry for something unique and irresistibly danceable.

This summer La Leche has become the first traveling club night** of its kind landing in 6 cities in the US, Miami, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, and New York each city once a month from May till September. Plus two events in San Francisco! The resident DJ leading the funky "Leche" wagon is International Playboy Zen with his blend of fresh eclectic party tunes from around the world.

Each night will feature a live performance by artists from the musical movement "Nortec" out of Tijuana. Nortec was formed from sampling instrumental parts from dusty tapes of tambora and norteno band rehearsals + combining the use of electronics and dance music aesthetics with the hard driving sounds and rhythms of traditional northern mexican street music. "Norteño" (of the north) and "Techno" = NORTEC

Nortec Artists: FUSSIBLE / BOSTICH / HIPERBOREAL / PANOPTICA / TERRESTRE will be performing LIVE on the LA LECHE US Summer Tour 2003

**Holey cow La Leche are the first! No other club night has toured consistently around the United States for an entire Summer!! Thanks to Heineken for helping to spread this tasty cutting edge music.
