Group Description

In 1967, a couple of years before the Adventure Team, Hasbro
attempted to diversify the Joe line. The results were two extremely
limited and EXTREMELY hard to find sets called Action Joe. One was a
police set consisting of a Motorcycle and side car and 2 officers.
The other was a race car driver with race car. if you add the
canadian Mounted Policeman, and the cowboy and indian sets that came
at the end of Joe's run, you can see that there has always been
attempts at non-military diversity in 1/6th collecting.

Action Man had an entire series devoted to sports. Today every 1/6th
company makes some kind of firefighter or police style figures. Many
make adventure items and many fans kitbash non-military Joes all the

Were Mike Power and Bulletman really adventurers? Not really they
fall more towards Super Hero figures. Which of course forces us to
mention Captain Action and his various outfits.Ultimately Mego made
1/6th scaled stuff is often overlooked in 1/6th discussions.

That is what this list is about. It is the spirit of 1/6th scale
figures out of the military and performing an amazingly vast variety
of unique tasks.

It is the spirit of Action Joe.

This is a group dedicated to any and all non-military 1/6th or 12 inch scaled figures. The soldiers have their own fox holes, this is a discussion group for everyone else.

So if you like your 12 inch figures to be monsters, heroes, adventurers, police officers, fire fighters, space warriors, rescue heroes, rock stars, sports heroes, or anything else you can imagine that doesn't wear a soldier's uniform, then this is your discussion group.
