"Anvil! The Story of Anvil", a mockumentary-like true account of
fiftysomething Canadian heavy-metal practitioners Steve "Lips" Kudlow
(vocals, guitar) and Robb Reiner (drums) who, after a desultory
European tour with their band ANVIL, decide to record a 13th album in
a final attempt to fulfill their boyhead dreams of stardom, will be
shown at BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) on Saturday, May 31 at 6:30
p.m. during the annual Sundance Institute at BAM series, which
highlights films from the Sundance Film Festival. The premiere will be
followed by a live performance by ANVIL at BAMcafé.

"Anvil! The Story of Anvil" made its debut in the Premieres section of
the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, which ran January 17-27, 2008, in
Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Sundance, Utah.

The film's director Sacha Gervasi, who worked as a writer on the
Steven Spielberg-directed movie "The Terminal" (2004), told Eye
Weekly, "Toronto has never shown them [ANVIL] respect. So I wouldn't
be surprised if they were nervous. But if there's even a tiny shift in
perception, with people recognizing that ANVIL are a true national
      asset, that would be terrific."

Check out a review of the movie at Cinematical:

Sacha Gervasi is an old friend of the band's that used to do some
roadie work for them back in the 1980s. He has filmed some of their
shows from their November 2005 and June 2006 European tours. He also
filmed Lips' 50th birthday show at Heads or Tails in Etobicoke,
Ontario, Canada on February 25, 2006. As well, he filmed some of the
recording of "This Is Thirteen". Sacha also interviewed many people
from ANVIL's past and present, including former bandmembers.
