Hey Everybody!

I had this crazy idea last night and it's suddenly taken flight. I
don't know how
many of you have heard of "Flat Stanley", but this is basically what
it is.

One of my friends did this flat person project as part of a General
Hospital fan
club, and my friends and I are thinking that it would be kind of fun
to do a
"Flat Rangers" thing.

Basically, what we're doing is making a "flat person" of each of the
6 rangers,
and then taking them everywhere we go, and taking all kinds of
strange pictures.
Basically, what my friend did for the General Hospital flat dolls,
was take a
picture of Becky Herbst and Rick Hearst that she had, cut the head
off and glued
it on a stick body that was made of tag board. Then she dressed them
up like
paper dolls and each soap opera related event she went to, they went
too, and
she took random pictures of them. Some examples were me holding flat
Becky at
the ABC Soaps Fun In The Sun Tour in Los Angeles, or Super Soap
Weekend at
Disney World, with Mickey Mouse having "Flat Becky" half way down
his shirt, or
Rick Heast kissing "Flat Becky" or Becky Herbst smiling with "Flat
Rick". It
was just completely random. Once she had all the pictures of
her "flat people",
my friend put them all together in a scrapbook and gave it to the
actor who's
head she used, and they loved it! It's been a pretty huge thing for
the
participating fan clubs. :-)

Basically, here's what we are going to be doing. My friends and I
are each
taking possession of a "flat person". There will be one doll for
each of the
original rangers. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is
to take your
turn with the doll, you can put your name in line for just one of
the dolls, or
for all 6. However, each person will only be in possession of one
flat doll at
a time. Each person on the list of participants will have one week
with each
doll (which ever dolls they choose to participate with), and your
job is to take
the flat person around your town and take random pictures of it with
your
friends, school, town, etc. Be creative and see what you can come up
with. You
may dress the doll up and do whatever you would like with it, as
long as NO
DAMAGE is caused to the doll itself. Some ideas that have been done

You will have one week to enjoy your flat person before it must then
be returned
to the doll's keeper before being sent on to the next participant.
All the
pictures you choose to take will then be sent to either myself or
Margie to be
put into the scrapbook for that doll. Again, you get 1 week per doll.

The only catch to this project is that if you would like to
participate and are
attending any kind of Power Ranger affiliated convention, anything
where any of
the former rangers, etc. will be, be sure to let us know the date
when you sign
up and which doll you would like to have with you for that event,
and Margie and
I will be sure you get that certain doll for that day. If it means
we have to
cut somebody's week short to get you the doll, then we will do it,
and then
return the doll to the previous person upon completion. For
instance, I will be
attending Johnny Yong Bosh's band "EyeShine"s concert in a few
weeks. Should I
choose to take a flat doll with me, I will be sure to have that
specific doll
for that event. The scheduling for this is going to be very tricky,
so please
be sure to send me the name, date and times of event you would like
a doll for,
as well as which doll you would like, when you send me your
participation
information.

Vacation, I need the
following information from you, ASAP! I need your First & Last name,
Mailing
address, email address and a phone number in which I can reach you
should I need
to get a doll back for a specific event, etc., as well as each doll
you would
like to visit you; Kimberly, Jason, Tommy, Billy, Zack or Trini. You
can either

We will be doing this project for the next year and a half, and take
all the
pictures to put into a scrapbook, that will then be given to the
actor
portraying that ranger when we attend Morphicon in June of 2006.
Everyone is
more than welcome to participate in this project, and flat doll
pictures may be
submitted to both Margie and myself via email, or snail mail. It is
up to you.
