First, Canaan Mt. to the windlass via Water Canyon on June 2nd. A wonderful trip that I hadn't done in some years. Air temps were cool, sun was shining, views were spectacular. There was plenty of water and some unexpected knee deep quicksand in the wash just above Water Canyon.
Second, another that I hadn't been to for many years, Bridge Mt. Arch on June 8th. This was my fourth time on this hike and I believe it to be one of the most difficult in the park. There were more signs of travel then I remember from years past, but there also seemed to be more brush. The mosquito population is alive and very well in Hepworth Wash, and the cactus blooms are abundant. There is a solid anchor at the top of the chimney climb.
