Zion National Park will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2009. To commemorate this milestone, Zion National Park and the Zion Natural History Association will attempt to gain approval from the Utah Legislature for a special Zion National Park license plate.
Rep. Brad Last, R-St. George, will introduce a bill in the next session of the Legislature to authorize this special plate.

The chance of passage will be improved if 200 people will commit to purchase the plate if it is authorized. The cost would be $25 more than a standard plate and the additional amount would go to the Zion National Park Foundation to support future projects and operations in Zion National Park.

To show your support, simply drop a note that reads: "I commit to purchase a Zion National Park License Plate if they are authorized." Date it, include your name and address and return it to: Zion Natural History Association, Zion National Park, Springdale, UT 84767.
