LVA : Lesbians in the Visual Arts announces Depth & Distance , an open
entry exhibition in San Francisco and on line next Spring.

Depth and distance are what give us perspective in art as well as life and
so is an appropriate title as LVA invites entries of work in all media from
lesbian artists aged 55 and older for this exhibition. The due date for
submissions is February 15, 2003. For a prospectus, to make a donation, or
to volunteer, call 415/788-6118, visit www.lesbianarts.org, or email
      lesbianarts@....

LVA encourages lesbian visual artists internationally to submit work to
Depth & Distance they are especially excited by, in all styles and with any
theme, including lesbian-specific, issue-specific, or with no specific
theme at all. We are seeking all artists - from those who have been making
art and exhibiting for much of their life to those new to the experience of
      making art and/or exhibiting.

Many lesbian artists are unknown and unsung for reasons from the very
personal to the very political including those who have never felt safe
enough to identify publicly as lesbian. Focusing this exhibition on older
lesbian artists is in keeping with LVA's mission to make art visible which
is often invisible. Exhibiting these artists' work together with
established artists will surely enlarge the Depth & Distance of the lesbian
      visual arts language.

LVA : Lesbians in the Visual Arts announces the Depth & Distance call for
entry exhibition for lesbian artists 55 and older (being held Spring 2003
in San Francisco). We are seeking entries from artists internationally --
from artists with extensive exhibition histories to those who have never
shown their work. Entries are due February 15. For prospectus:
www.lesbianarts.org; email at lesbianarts@...; or call
      415/788-6118.

      Cheers,

      Erica
