Simoun - how stupid am I?
- I was just reading the synopsis for episode 9 of Simoun and I think
I've answered another question for myself. It may well have been
suggested already on the various Simoun discussion Forums, but since I
don't read them, I don't care. :-)
I read this (nothing particularly spoilery here):
"Neville begins by outlining Chor Tempest's official duties: they
speak to -- and hear -- the Simoun, and offer Remergions in the sky in
the service of the Tempus Spatium. But Simulacrum has been invaded by
both Argentum and Plumbum,"
and I quite literally slapped myself on the forehead.
It's not magic. It's not religion. It's alchemy. Duh.
That explains a tremendous amount about everything. Including the
country being called Simulacrum, the gender issues, and a whole chunk
of how the Simoun work.
