      Dear Friends,

A teacher is like a boat that is the essential means to help one
cross the mire of delusion. The teacher shares his experiences,
making the student aware of the obstacles and stumbling blocks on his
      journey.

A seeker should not delude himself and believe that by accepting
someone as a guru or becoming a disciple, he does not have to
practice, that he will become enlightened without any effort.

Spiritual leaders such as Krishna, Jesus, Moses, and Buddha did not
possess the power to enlighten the students who accepted them as
their guides but did not listen, follow, and practice their
      teachings. *

      In loving service,

      Swami J
