A new section on the Yoga Sutras has been
added to the SwamiJ.com website. It has a
total of 49 web pages, which are over 250
pages if you were to print it on paper. Links
are below, but if you forget them, these pages
are of course linked on the home page of
      SwamiJ.com website.

      WHAT ARE THE YOGA SUTRAS?
The Yoga Sutra succinctly outlines the art
and science of Yoga for Self-Realization.
It is a process of systematically encountering,
examining, and transcending each of the
various gross and subtle levels of false identity
in the mind field, until the jewel of the true
      Self comes shining through.

      GOAL OF THESE WEB PAGES
The goal of this rendition is to make the
principles and practices of the Yoga Sutras
      more understandable and accessible. The
descriptions within each sutra attempt to
focus on the practical suggestions of what
to DO to control the mind field, so as to attain
direct experience beyond the mind. Hyperlinks
are used extensively, allowing you to easily
move around among the many sutras, principles
      and practices.

MAIN PAGE: SUMMARY OF ALL SUTRAS
One of the key features is a single web page
that summarizes all 196 sutras. If you print
this page in Landscape view, with smaller
font size (in your browser), it will fit on two
pieces of paper, which can be taped together.
This gives you a tool that your eye can
easily scan to have an overview of the entire
process described in the Yoga Sutras. Then,
from your computer, just click down into any
section your curiosity draws you to.
Everything is accessible from this page. If
you feel lost in any of the pages, just click
on the link (from any page) that brings you
back to this page. Here's the link:

easier to understand and practice. As with all of
the website, if you find typographical errors,
      please let me know.

I hope that you enjoy these pages and visit
      them often.
