Is this group monitored by Yahoo?

I just joined the group but wonder if anyone from Yahoo is actually reading what is being posted. Is there a recommended place to let them know complaints?

I'm having the same problems that are being described including blank screens,

They used to have a Yahoo group but they closed it down for posters. I used to be in it too but there were too many complainers and they did not want to deal with complaints, just like today. They turn their backs on complaints!!

If this group is actually being monitored by Yahoo then I am going to voice some opinions here.

When I delete an email after reading it why is the window blank. I still see my folders at the left but I am supposed to be directed back to the inbox but I am not getting that just a blank screen. I have to reload the page to get back to the inbox. It should not be this way.

After I have deleted email I want to go into the trash folder and I can't empty that folder. Yes I can hover and get  a trash can and empty the folder but I don't do it that way. I go in and look at the email subject and determine if I really want to delete it for once it is gone IT IS GONE. I can not do that anymore.

Another thing I want to bring back is the tabs options. I used that often. I have yet to find out how to restore them. Is there an Add On in Firefox that someone created that has brought them back? I was able to bring back the classic groups look. Now someone needs to create and app for tabs!

That's why I have never paid for Mail Plus - if they can't get the basics right why pay? Had they gotten the basics right year's ago I might have been paying them for Plus still. CJB..

                            voice some opinions
                            here.

                            When
                            I delete an email after
                            reading it why
                            is the window blank. I
                            still see my
folders at the left but I
                            am supposed
to be directed back to the
                            inbox but I
am not getting that just a
                            blank
                            screen. I have to reload
                            the page to
get back to the inbox. It
                            should not
                            be this way.

                            After
                            I have deleted email I
                            want to go into
                            the trash folder and I
                            can't empty
                            that folder. Yes I can
                            hover and get
a trash can and empty the
                            folder but I
                            don't do it that way.
                            I go in and look
                            at the email subject and
                            determine if
I really want to delete it
                            for once it
is gone IT IS GONE. I can
                            not do that
                            anymore.

                            Another
thing I want to bring back
                            is the tabs
                            options. I used that
                            often. I have yet
to find out how to restore
                            them. Is
there an Add On in Firefox
                            that
                            someone created that has
                            brought them
back? I was able to bring
                            back the
                            classic groups look. Now
                            someone needs

WhenI delete an email after reading it why is the window blank. I still see my folders at the left but I am supposed to be directed back to the inbox but I am not getting that just a blank screen. I have to reload the page to get back to the inbox. It should not be this way.

AfterI have deleted email I want to go into the trash folder and I can't empty that folder. Yes I can hover and get  a trash can and empty the folder but I don't do it that way. I go in and look at the email subject and determine if I really want to delete it for once it is gone IT IS GONE. I can not do that anymore.

Anotherthing I want to bring back is the tabs options. I used that often. I have yet to find out how to restore them. Is there an Add On in Firefox that someone created that has brought them back? I was able to bring back the classic groups look. Now someone needs to create and app for tabs!

Since the new mail came out in July my spam filter works much better.  It catches everything and very seldom is there a legit email in there.

Like I said, the built-in spam filter never works.... Use the message filters, but be careful in how you set them up. They still might not be 100% effective like Thunderbird, though.... I never see spam in my inbox!

often when I send an email to myself (for various reasons) it ends up in SPAM.
various "friendly" emails end up in Spam, too.
I periodically scan the SPAM folder for stuff that shouldn't be in there, and click  Not Spam  for them,
and delete the rest.  But Yahoo never seems to learn.

Oh, you mean the spam folder in your account? I see.... Well, that doesn't surprise me. Yahoo's spam detection & filters aren't very good. Most webmail services are like that, so unless you set up the filters carefully, you'll see spam in the inbox & legit messages in the spam or trash folders. The problem is letting the email provider decide what is spam.... I NEVER use the built-in spam filter unless there's an option to only accept email from people in my addressbook. I do the same with custom message filters. No one can tell me what is spam.... Only I know what is spam!

Since the new mail came out in
July my spam filter works much better.  It catches
everything and very seldom is there a legit email in there.

                                            Like I said,
the built-in spam filter never works.... Use the
message filters, but be careful in how you set them up.
They still might not be 100% effective like
                                            Thunderbird,
though.... I never see spam in my inbox!

often when I send an email to myself (for
                                            various
reasons) it ends up in SPAM.
                                            various "friendly" emails end
                                            up in Spam, too.
I periodically scan the SPAM folder for
                                            stuff that
shouldn't be in there, and click

                                               and delete the rest.
                                             But Yahoo never seems to
                                            learn.

                                            doesn't surprise me. Yahoo's spam
                                            detection & filters aren't
                                            very good. Most
                                            webmail
                                            services are like
                                            that, so
                                            unless you

                                            filters carefully,
you'll see spam in the inbox
                                            & legit
messages in the spam or trash
                                            folders. The
                                            problem is letting the email
                                            provider decide
what is spam.... I NEVER use the
                                            built-in
                                            spam filter unless there's
                                            an option to only
accept email from people in my
                                            addressbook.
I do the same with custom
                                            message filters.
No one can tell me what is
                                            spam.... Only I
                                            know what is spam!

Funny, Donna, that you complain about Neo not doing what it is supposed to. At this point, how do we even know what that is? I do note some interesting features that seem to pop up, but given everything that has disappeared, who knows what it is and isn't supposed to do?

I had a problem a long time ago with an account that would not let me open in tabs. After many back and forths, I was told that 1) that was really not a feature and/or 2) the problem was that I had too many emails in my account. That, even though the feature had worked for years and continued to work on other accounts. Well, it is not longer a feature.

Morons! Is there anybody in the group who is HAPPY with the direction Neo is going? I am not talking about accepting or even satisfied. Is there anybody here who believes these changes are all for the good?

Since the new mail came out in
July my spam filter works much better.  It catches
everything and very seldom is there a legit email in there.

the built-in spam filter never works.... Use the

They still might not be 100% effective like
                                              Thunderbird,
though.... I never see spam in my inbox!

Well, that doesn't surprise me. Yahoo's spam                                         detection & filters aren't                                           very good. Most webmail                                           services are like that, so                                               unless you set up                                                   the filters carefully,                             you'll see spam in the inbox & legit                             messages in the spam or trash folders. The                             problem is letting the email provider decide                             what is spam.... I NEVER use the built-in                             spam filter unless there's an option to only                             accept email from people in my addressbook.                             I do the same with custom message filters.                             No one can tell me what is spam....

**Sasafrass452** http://www.friendburst.com/Sasafrass452 http://thexfactorusa.proboards.com/                             On 10/14/2013 09:20 PM, adeomus ********                             wrote:                                                                                                                                                 my spam file...usually ignore                                     my spam file, appropriate junk goes                                     into it...but occasionally yahoo                                     really farts, and my own posts go                                     there                                                                                                   OR,                                     in this case, 44 Ymail posts were in                                     there !!!                                                                                                   gotta                                     wonder...                                                                                                   adds                                                                                                                                                                                                           "Say NO                                       to NEO!"                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           From:                                         Sasafrass452 <Sasafrass452@...>                                         To:                                         Y-Mail@yahoogroups.com                                                                                 Sent:                                         Monday, October 14, 2013 5:06:48                                         PM                                         Subject:                                         Re: [Y-Mail] Re: Is this group                                         monitored by Yahoo?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Huh?                                               What file? That's what their announcement indicated, but I've never been asked to change themes and still have the old set up, tabs and all. What I find interesting is that on my iPad and my Android phone I've been asked to set up a theme and have the new look there. So it seems that it's only been rolled out to a few and perhaps to mobile devices?

I still don't have the new version, so I can't fairly say. I guess they've only rolled it out to some.

Well, that doesn't surprise me. Yahoo's spam                                         detection & filters aren't                                           very good. Most webmail                                           services are like that, so                                               unless you set up                                                   the filters carefully,                             you'll see spam in the inbox & legit                             messages in the spam or trash folders. The                             problem is letting the email provider decide                             what is spam.... I NEVER use the built-in                             spam filter unless there's an option to only                             accept email from people in my addressbook.                             I do the same with custom message filters.                             No one can tell me what is spam.... often when I send an email to myself (for various reasons) it ends up in SPAM.
various "friendly" emails end up in Spam, too.

Also I would like pagination to be restored as well as tabs.

Now someone needs to create and app for tabs!

often when I send an email to myself (for various reasons) it ends up in SPAM.
various "friendly" emails end up in Spam, too.

Also I would like pagination to be restored as well as tabs.
