      I m pretty sure official Yahoo emails are from Y-inc.com. It s not yahoo.com.whatever. I would advise your frind to forward that email, with headers, to

        I would advise your frind to forward that email, with headers, to abuse@.... They'll be able to verify it if it is legitimate.

There are too many "fake" emails and if they ask for passwords....don't answer it or reply to it and report it to Yahoo....Glenda

                I did suggest that the friend join this group,so
                hopefully has done so and seen your replies .

                Googling the subject line is also a good means to
                finding out about email hoaxes .
