Thank you for your help. My dumb. Used all boxes so that four conditions had to be met. Realised after your prompting that I should have used just Subject

Here's my filter logic works well.

      Y-mail

      If...

         Subject contains "Y-Mail" (case sensitive)

      Then...

         Move message to Y-mail folder

In a recent comment regarding heaps of spam, SASSAFRASS had this to say:

"Yahoo's filters are definitely lacking in this area".

Boy that's not all they are lacking in. This is only my 2nd post and
as a newbie I elected to receive copies of all new messages from this
forum. The next time I checked my email I had 27 posts about [Y-Mail]
in my inbox so I created a new folder called "y-mail" (wouldn't allow me
to create "[Y-Mail]") and went to "filters" to direct future mail
straight to that folder. Can I get the damned filters to do that ...
no way. Still keeps dumping heaps of Y-Mail forum posts straight into
my inbox. Not at all impressed, especially as not one comment yet has
come forth in answer to my first request for help.
