PLEASE reject them... And, if you don't mind, could we reject any further e-mails about how to find out what a farm is (already covered multiple times here and also on the Yahoo Mail blog) and how to look up one's own farm? I know it's daunting for new members to browse through the archive of old messages, but it's like having people constantly walk into the room while you're watching a DVD and keep asking to be caught up on the begining of the movie...

I've rejected many of those posts - often with simple instructions on how to resolve the problem (aka clearing cache and cookies ;)  ).

And if the poster happens to have messenger running, I'd also try to have a chat with them and step them through the process.

There are a few things I have noticed after a couple of these chats: first, and to my surprise, there are often real persons and not spammers behind those posts; second, they are often not newbies (they know how to perform simple maintenance ... just won't do them); and third, not all "error code 1" can be solved with clearing cache and cookies.

"Error code 1" is extremely frustrating - it seems to have something to do with mail session authentication, meaning you can have everything else with Yahoo running normally, yet Y-mail will refuse to allow you in no matter what. Most of the times clearing cache and cookies help, but not always. In those incidents, the only thing left to suggest them is to wait for customer support. :(

Most would agree to have their posts deleted after their chat sessions, whether the chats actually resolved their problems or not. Occasionally, some will insist the post should go through. And in those cases, after warning them it won't do any good, I did let them through (~2 or 3 times so far).

If the consensus is that no one wants to see them anymore, I'll reject all error code posts of the same/similar formats from now on. (I assumed everybody knows what formatting I'm referring to here? ;) )

Why didn't you moderators start removing them earlier? Why are any of them ever allowed to go to the group in the first place?

I agree, I'm tired of seeing these. Yahoo knows about it! Please stop posting the same message over & over! For problems such as this, contacting Yahoo support is the best way. From now on, any further messages about error code 1 will NOT be approved. To the other mods here, please make note of this & do the same.

If you are experiencing error code 1, the page you see
should have text on it that says:

"If you think you've been more than patient and tried
the tricks above, feel free to contact Customer Care
        about Error Code 1."

The final bit of that text ("contact Customer Care
about Error Code 1") is a hyperlink. Click on it.
That's how you report error code 1 problems to our
customer care team. I was up in Oregon today and I sat
with customer care and watched them expertly handle
this situation. If you go through the channels we have
provided, you can get this issue resolved pretty
        easily.

Moderators, if you're going to begin refusing messages
regarding error code 1, please add my comments above
        to the FAQ.
