Which term is correct for the inter-character space totality please,
i.e. the glyph width plus the allocated left and right space
which make up the content rectangle for a character?

I'm not referring to kerning, i.e. for a fixed width font?

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tracking_%28typography%29 isn't helping me!

      TIA
