Concordance of Iqbal's Persian poetry
- Dear Sir / Madam
Allama Muhammad Iqbal has been an eminent and
celebrated literary and poetical figure of the South
Asian Subcontinent during the 20th century A.D.
Besides his status as National Poet of Pakistan and
the most celebrated Persian poet of this region during
his century, he holds a prominent place among the
modern Muslim thinkers and philosophers, especially,
resting on his doctrine of The Perfect Man, which he
has, for the first time, presented in versified form
in his two famous Persian works, namely, ASRAR-E-KHUDI
( The secrets of Self ) and RUMUZ-E-BIKHUDI (The
Secrets of Selflessness). All of his other Persian and
Urdu works are based on these two books.
A lot of research work has been done on Iqbals life
and his philosophy. But still it is one of the most
popular and interesting topic for the scholars and
they are engaged in studying Iqbal in the perspective
of modern universal trends.
