Cycling at COP 16
CTS Mexico, the Interface for Cycling Expertise, the Bridging the Gap and SLocaT joined forces to give a practical example of sustainable transport during COP 16. With the help of Deutsche Bank Foundation and Shell Foundation 150 bicycles were made available to the participants of COP 16 at the Moon Palace.
Take a look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLBs2FVpCTg to watch the 5 December event in which these bicycles were handed over to the city of Queretero; the winner of a competition on cycling inclusive planning organized by CTS Mexico in which 16 cities took part.
see also the attached folder which gives more information on the importance of cycling.
