      Musicians get new performing stage
      Wednesday, 03 December 2008
THE Global Peace Festival donated a stage to the Solomon Islands Music Federation (SIMF) and a wheel chair and computer to National Referral Hospital (NRH) yesterday.

President of Solomon Islands Music Federation Placid Walekwate received the stage from Universal Peace Federation Oceania Regional Director, Dr Dong Woo Kim and local director Rex Masuaku.

Mr Walekwate thanked Global Peace Festival organisers and promised his federation will take good care of it.

"We are looking forward to working with you in the future," he told Dr Kim.

Dr Huddie Namo of the National Referral Hospital's Emergency Unit received the computer and the wheel chair donated to the hospital.

Dr Namo said the hospital lacked computers, which prompts him to make the request.

He said the new computer will help them in their job.
