One of the benefits is that you are making a statement that you support the right of freedom of travel as stated in the UN Universal declaration of Human Rights.  The World Service Authority has in the past used some of these proceeds and from selling of books and other things to help refugees and support the organization

There are large numbers of people like myself and others in here who are unable to get a national passport and so the World Passport is all we have.  Some are disenfranchised, and some have fled their home country without documents and some are forced to live in various places without documentation.  The UN passed the resolution in 1948, but nations want to see some travel document.

The World Passport is the only thing close to the Nansen Passport which was issued after WW II. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nansen_passport  and today is perhaps second to having a UN passport or travel document.

While Nansen passports are no longer issued, present national authorities, including the United Nations, issue documents for stateless people and refugees. These include: Certificate of Identity (or "alien's passport"), the "Refugee Travel Document" and the United Nations laissez-passer.

Okay, first let me explain something here:
You are NOT becoming a member of "World Citizen" because this isn't like a nation nor a mafia.
You are ALREADY a World Citizen by the simple fact that you are a flesh and blood human being born upon this planet.
And as for some people thinking that they get more benefits because of their "national passports" I am sorry to say that they are just FOOLS.
They have no idea what the hell they're talking about.
Those same fools talking all that crap are the fools who have had the nerve to tell me, living in America for many generations, that the LAW requires me to have a Social Security Number to send a Western Union money order to someone.
I will say this again and again:
There are way too many idiots on this forum. And the biggest problem is that these idiots speak like they know something. The only thing I learn from those fools is to be VERY CAREFUL who you listen to, especially on this forum.
Yet every time I speak I follow through with Constitutions, Case-law, Congressional Hearings, etc...
I actually give PROOF to back up everything I say.
I opened up my bank account WITHOUT a Social Security Number and using my World Passport (that's just for starters).
I opened up telephone service using only my World Passport and World Birth Certificate (again without a Social Security Number).
And I truly laugh at how some of these Europeans on this forum from these Socialist countries DARE tell Americans about "The Patriot Act" and other such nonsense. Like them Socialist Europeans actually know anything about anything.
Norway and Scandinavia have the HIGHEST suicide rates in the entire world. I wonder why?
I guess very little sunlight and so very little Vitamin C.
One of the best things to do when you plan to travel to another country is to call the Consulate and Embassy of the country you wish to visit tell them you wish to visit and explain your documentation situation. Tell them what you have in way of identification, etc... Most likely they'll tell you okay and place your name on a list that will be accessed by the border guards ONLY when you mention this to them.
The border guards will look on another list. And your name pops up and you get Higher Respect than someone with a regular passport. Simply because that list comes DIRECTLY form the Consulate and gives you permission to enter.
But most people don't even consider this.
They don't understand that a "Nation" works as follows:
It is a House. That's all. So you wish to enter MY HOUSE, you can.
But if you call me DIRECTLY and I give you permission, then your name appears on another list of entrants. Not the regular Joe Shmoe with his little U.S. Passport or the regular Joe Shmoe with his little British Passport, etc...
But a man or woman, with ANY passport, who enters a nation and his/her name is on that Consulate list (U.S. Passport or whatever passport) will be treated DIFFERENTLY.
Anyway, I apologize to all the good people out on this forum for my rough candor, but keep in mind that we aren't here to coddle anyone, especially the boobs out there.
And best wishes to you and yours in your travels upon the land and seas.

Lest we confuse new people to the forum...

When one is born they are a citizen of the world that is true.  HOWEVER the World Government of World Citizens and its arm World Service Authority are chartered international organizations, in Washington DC, which DO offer membership and other benefits for those who join.

It is hoped that nation states will listen more readily to a chartered international organization than they would to an individual who stands up and declares I am a country of one and will travel where I please.

Garry Davis and the World Service Authority have labored intensely since 1953 to try and bring the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights into the limelight.. specifically with regard to freedom of travel.  One can buy a CD on the website which has documents and letters which WSA has written to many nations on behalf of this cause.  Yet only 8 countries or jurisdictions have written an official letter of acceptance of the World Passport.  These are also on the website under "Official Letters"

Those of us who have joined the World Government of World Citizens hope that we will have more strength through unity and therefore a better chance of getting WSA documents and the World Passport accepted officially in more places, than might be achieved as one person challenging the rules of an individual Country's immigration.

              Regards,

              Andrew

Well, I suggest you contact the Consulate of the country you wish to visit and start a rapport with them. Explain your legal situation (your World Passport)

Well, I suggest you contact the Consulate of the country you wish to visit and start a rapport with them. Explain your "legal" situation (your World Passport) and say that you wish to visit their country.
I suggest getting the World Passport since the 3 year one is only I think $45 or so. That's the one I have.
You call the Consulate/Embassy and explain your situation. Most likely they'll say it's okay for you to visit. They'll place your name on another list and when you come to the border guards your name will be on their Consulate list.
Garry Davis has a youtube video in which he crosses the Canadian border back to America and all he used was his World Passport.
You might also wish to contact the Legal Department at the World Service Authority and ask them for a Letter of Authenticity for your World Passport once you get it.
If you have any further questions just ask me and I'll answer if I can.

And best of wishes to you and yours in your travels.

Ronaldo you are right and i totally agree! Furthermore the UN Sponsored Human development Index ranks Norway as NUMBER 1 with national health being considered.

Starting with the 2010 Human Development Report the HDI combines three dimensions:

                                • A long and healthy life: Life expectancy at birth
                                • Access to knowledge: Mean years of schooling and Expected years of schooling
                                • A decent standard of living: GNI per capita (PPP US$)
