      Dear all

In the last two weeks some people have (mis)used this list as if it were
a private correspondence or chatroom. That kind of action is what makes
lists less attractive. Therefor I ask you to follow common
      netiquette, for instance:

don't start a message with "dear friend" or "dear brother" without a
clue whom you're adressing. Start with indicating whose message your
reacting to (unless that's totally irrelevant)

Don't exchange soup-recipes over a list that's not about cooking.
If someone asks things that are clearly offtopic, send the reply to
      his/her private emailadress

Don't just send an answer without any indication of what the question
was. To people who receive 100 emails a day such messages are totally
      ununderstandable

Don't resend entire previous messages. Just quote the things you're
commenting, and put your comment _under_ those. People tend to read
from top to bottom, and if you listen to an interview on the radio,
you won't want to first hear the answers, and hear the questions only
      later either.

Do delete footers and advertisments before sending a reply

      thanks in advance, Ronaldo
