      PI2013 #461 - Powerless Absent Self-Government

"The more corrupt the state, the more it legislates."

      ~  Tacitus

      Liberty Lovers,

http://www.usdebtclock.org: Every American Taxpayer Now “Owes” “The (federal) State” $148,381, every citizen $53,449.

"The urge to save humanity is almost always a false front for the urge to rule."

      ~  H. L. Mencken

America's Commonwealth, Federal, And state Constitutions were framed to assure 'government' ("The State") would be powerless to infringe on individual rights of "We, the American People."  Constitutions are powerless absent proactive sovereign citizens;  they underscore freedom through force of Liberty .

"A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves."

      ~  Edward R. Murrow

No Constitution Has Ever shouldered a weapon.  As important, laws trump Constitutions at every turn... until they, laws, are rendered impotent, revised, or repealed.  Neither laws nor Constitutions mean much without enforcement of their precepts or dictates.  Both are near pointless absent enforcement.

"It is much more important to kill bad bills than to pass good ones."

      ~ Calvin Coolidge

Public Officials Recognize People are subject to rule of law, not Constitutional principles, even though Constitutional Principles, in theory, are 'supreme' law.  Legislators and courts, not ordinary people, decide Constitutionality, and impose preferable laws.

"The issue today is the same as it has been throughout all history, whether man shall be allowed to govern himself or be ruled by a small elite."

      ~  Thomas Jefferson

Constitutions, In Free Societies, center on Liberty and individual rights.  Laws, regardless of Constitutional principles, dictate and regulate societal behavior, as deemed appropriate by legislators and courts.  Sovereign people temper both to secure Liberty .

"Charity is no part of the legislative duty of the government."

      ~  James Madison

People Intending To Live In Liberty do not allow legislators – or other public officials within These United States of America, to disregard these precepts. They exercise citizen sovereignty through self-government to preserve freedom, Liberty , and independence.
