Va house of delegete art contest- due Nov 30th
There is a contest for k-12th graders currently going on for the VA house of delegate with the theme:
Your House of Delegates district - the area in Virginia where you live and/or go to school.
Accepted artwork mediums are as follows:
Paintings: oil, acrylics, watercolor
Drawings: pastels, colored pencil, pencil, charcoal, ink, markers
Prints: lithographs, silk screen, block prints
Mixed Media: use of two or more mediums such as pencil, markers, watercolor, etc.
The artwork must be original in concept, design, and execution and may not violate any U.S. copyright laws. Artwork entered must
be in the original medium(s) not a scanned reproduction.
The artwork may not exceed 12 inches x 18 inches. (so they want flat, wall hanging pieces)
I will collect anyone's art work and send it to the house of delegates for you if you wish to enter. Please have it to the co-op by Nov. 30.
* Here's the bad part *- and one to consider- they will not return the art work once it has been sent. "All entry materials become the exclusive property of the Virginia House of Delegates and will not be returned."
So maybe you've got a lovely piece of your child's art work that is a bit old, or one you're just as happy to have the copy of instead of keeping the original, send it to co-op :)
Drop art pieces off with the official forms at the front desk by November 30th!
