Re: [William-Optics] Full diameter extender/adapters for FLT-110 focuser
- The FLT-110 is designed to work with medium format(2.25 inch) film. This is one of the reasons the focuser is so large. What size film or sensor are you using? If you are using 35mm or smaller I don't think the larger extender with do you much good. A simple ray trace will tell you if it is of benefic. It looks like to me that the T- thread is often the limiting factor in 35mm work with fast scopes. I hear the FLT-110 is a great scope. Good luck.Scott Walker----- Original Message -----From: David DixonSent: Friday, March 17, 2006 9:14 AMSubject: [William-Optics] Full diameter extender/adapters for FLT-110 focuserI just acquired a beautiful used FLT-110 and am in the process of setting it up for imaging. Does anyone have a drawing of the
focuser interface threads, rather than use a 2 inch extender I would like to make or buy an full diameter (92mm?) extender and place
it between the 2
inch barrel adapter and the focuser.
Also I see from the achieve that several folks have either added electric focusers (TCF-S) or an actuator like a Robofocus to allow
remote focusing. I would appreciate hearing the details of what was used and how well it worked out.
