yeah, i'm abit confused by the weta handicap situation as well
the usa portsmith sailing site list their provisional rating as being 78.5
but the wetawest site gives it a PY? rating of 812 in their specs sections
shouldn't that be 81.2?
who are the starters, optimist class?, a lot will depend on wind speed, if it's light the foilers may be stuffed. guess you'll just have to sail and see, local ratings are usually adjustable if results keep putting you last
on saturday i raised and reversed the lower ronstan mainsheet block so it is now facing forward like on a cat and can be cleated and uncleated with a flick of the wrist
working well so far but in the very light winds when there is no pressure on the sail it can bang around on the hulls...i'll get some pics of the new position today
get yourself to japan and i'm sure we can organise some weta sailing for you

Anyone out there racing with other 'dinghies' using the PY handicap. I have been 'permitted'to race in a pursuit race that in a 150 min race, puts me 90 minutes behind the first starters, and 2 mins ahead of the foiling moths! Any ideas guys, or will I have to get 5 more here to establish a class.....
Sailing 3 sails / solo...
