I believe that the ring on the end of this part you are seeking to replace is meant to be a nearly frictionless attachment point for the snap shackle on the tether. If the boat is rolling over on you, you want the snap shackle to release quickly and completely from the harness. A soft shackle made of Dyneema or similar “slippery” braid will probably be fine, but a simple loop of webbing might not do this well.

You can stitch a new one from webbing if you're a bit handy. Or have a local upholstery shop do it if you're not. Another alternative is webbing with a buckle, but it's not as secure. Or you can use a soft shackle-- do a web search on how to make one, it's very easy and you can then get it the proper length.
I have lost the loop which secures the D rings at the front of the harness which is then used to clip on the elastic safety strap.
I've been using a rope loop as a temporary replacement and it has allowed me to extend the loop a little which makes it more comfortable to hike out when sitting on the Ama.
Can anyone recommend a source for a replacement product and/or an alternative - particulalry if the length can be adjusted.
