Group Description

In addition to Northern California, the ARRL Pacific Division includes Nevada and Pacific (Hawaii et al). The California Sections are shown on the map. See the Pacific Division web site at http://www.pdarrl.org/ and Section management at http://www.pdarrl.org/sections.html.

This Yahoo Group is for users of the the D-Star Reflector REF014. REF014 has three channels. The purpose of the D-Star reflector is to provide a meeting place for the ARRL Pacific Division. The use of three channels is defined. Channel A is intended for linking and forum type discusions on 1.2 GHz DV repeaters and Digital Data transmission. Channel B was selected for ARRL Pacific Divison Emcom nets and recovery operations. Channel C is for QSO within the Pacific Division and visitors. Channel B was selected for Emcom command and control.

The Pacific Division D-Star ARES Net is held on Channel B every Thursday at 1830 Pacific Time.

Membership is open to all hams who are D-Star Ref014 uses. Therefore appplications must show an e-mail address with ham call lettters or otherwise display call letters such as by use of a call letters nick name.

Gateway owners should make it known to this Group if their facilities are available for participation in Division Emcomm Nets and Section Net. If so please identify Gateway/repeaters with respect to Gateway identities, modules frequencies, city and the specific Pacific Division Section, custodian and contact info. A Data Sheet is in the Database for this Group.
