Group Description

We a€™re the Westbank New Orleans Beaders Guild and are all about getting together each month to make beaded jewelry. We are a non-profit group and also do community outreach projects.

Our project this year is called Christmas Sparkle which involves making jewelry for the local Domestic Violence organization. Our November meeting will be to make origami Christmas boxes for the gifts which will then be delivered to the organization for passing out to the sheltered women.

Classes are fun, you’ll get lots of ideas to make your own jewelry, and we love making new friends! Each monthly class has an instructor and the cost of the class is $12.00. Kits are occasionally offered for the class at an additional cost, but you are always welcome to bring your own beads.

We meet on the fourth Saturday of the month from 1-3 p.m. at Love Lutheran Church, 3730 MacArthur, located near Gen. DeGaulle and Holiday Drive in Algiers on the Westbank side of New Orleans. RSVPs are requested to made sure there are enough copies for everyone.
