      no mark I do not know what file it is I reinstalled Windows XP but now I need to setup the modem and all that lost everything on my computer of course to. a lot that is backed up at Google for me though. just trying to get back online

      Have you tried restoring back to a date before you deleted the file?
       
      Just out of curiosity, did you delete the file because you were trying to get rid of a virus?  I did that once and it was a real PITA to get all the stuff working again, but it did get rid of the virus!
