      WARNING, ANOTHER SHAMELESS PLUG!

All hams are invited to partake of the

      Flight of the Bumblebees,
      Sunday, July 29
      1700-2100Z

This event is similar to the recent "QRP in the Park" and is sponsored by the Adventure Radio Society.

Folks are encouraged to "take a hike" or "take a boat trip" etc., but the length of the trip or the mode of transportation is up to the participant.  And, for folks who don't want to, or cannot get out, home stations are cordially invited to partake.

Full description of the event is at
      http://www.arsqrp.blogspot.com/

Scroll down for info on the FOBB - for whatever reason they've chosen to have the latest info below some other info.

A bunch of us are planning to drive to and walk the final 100 yards or so to
      Fisk Knob County Park
      17533 Algoma Avenue
      Cedar Springs, MI 49319

Link to the website with map is at

Don't be concerned about the park being closed year round.  There IS a parking area, and pedestrian access.  But note, there are NO "facilities" not even water, so bring all the supplies you need if you want to join us.

I'd encourage folks in other parts of Western Michigan to arrange similar outings, and have a blast!  Something similar to the "mini Park in the QRP" as was held in Michigan a week or so ago would seem very appropriate.

73 ex hope to CU on Sunday, July 29.
