Ottawa County CERT training
We have a few seats available for the CERT training beginning Feb 22. It's not too late to register.
COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (CERT) TRAINING FOR OTTAWA COUNTY RESIDENTS.
CERT is one of the five Citizen’s Corps programs under the USA Freedom Corps. CERT teams in Ottawa County are organized thru the Ottawa County Emergency Management Office. The 2012 CERT training is free to all Ottawa County residents. Training participants are not required to be a CERT Team member; however, information will be available at the training to learn more about how to apply for the CERT team following the training.
The CERT Training Consists of 8 Topics:
1. Disaster Preparedness
2. Fire Safety
3. Disaster Medical Operations
4. Light Search and Rescue
5. CERT Organization
6. Disaster Psychology
7. Terrorism and CERT
8. Disaster Simulation
Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm to 9:00pm
February 22, 2012 through April 18, 2012
Participants must attend all classes to receive their certificate of completion.
Ottawa County Fillmore Complex Emergency Operations Center

Participants will receive a CD manual to take home.
TRAINING WILL INCLUDE:
* Hands-on experience
The training is on a first come, first serve basis. Space is limited.

- If you are an Ottawa County resident and would be interest in getting
involved with CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), there will be a
class starting Monday, February 2.
