And if the Pennsylvania crowd moves to 20 thru 10 metres during daylight
hours, and/or if you like working folks to the west, there's the Arizona
Statehood QSO Party during the same weekend. Note that I worked
California last weekend during their QSO party on 7 MHz, both SSB and CW
running 5 watts to an inverted V antenna at 28 feet. If propagation is
as good this coming weekend as it was then, Azirona should be a slam
dunk for anyone with 5 watts or more and any antenna somewhat better
than a dummy load buried 6' underground.
Eggzact times for AZQP are 1600Z (Noon EDT) Saturday to 0600Z Sunday
(2:00 A.M. EDT), and 1400Z (10 A.M. EDT) Sunday to 2359Z (7:59 P.M. EDT)
Sunday, 24 hours total. All on the upcoming weekend, October 8-9.
