Subject: Can you forward this out to the clubs??
To: Jeff Nawrot <jnawrot@...
Can you give this info to the clubs to have them send out to their
members? I have 19 of the 30 shifts covered. I need 4 more 1st shift and 7
more second shift positions to cover.
We have been asked once again to help out with the Mud Run. From what I
have heard from the people who worked this event last year it was very
exciting and this year's event will be larger than last year. They have
added additional races to accommodate the added interest. As a result the
event will run from 6AM to around 3PM. Because of the length of time this
event covers we will be splitting into two shifts. The first shift will be
from 6AM to 11AM, the second shift will be from 10AM to 3PM. If you would
like to work both shifts you may; we will make sure you get time for a long
break. We will be staged at various locations around the course to
communicate any trouble. In addition to spotters for the event I am in need
of someone to share management responsibility with me as I will have to
leave for work before the conclusion of the event.
The event will be held Saturday August 27th at the Kentwood Community
Church 1200 60th St in Kentwood. If you are interested in helping out please
sign up at http://vrm.cc/mudrun.
If you are interested in helping with the
management please send me an email and I will contact you with details. More
information will be sent out as the event draws nearer.
After looking at the course map it looks like there are 13 obstacles that
need observation. There will also be other support positions that will need
to be filled. We are looking to fill at least 15 positions on each shift. If
you know of any radio operator who might be willing to help please pass this
email along to them.
