      Sunday, Nov. 2, marks the semi-annual clock resetting for
      daylight-saving time. This time-honored tradition in autumn has the
      majority of the U.S. "falling back" one hour, excepting folks in Hawaii
      and some parts of Arizona.

      This is also an excellent opportunity to replace smoke detector
      batteries and check the service life date on your carbon monoxide (CO)
      detector. Many CO detector manufacturers suggest replacing your
      detectors every five to seven years, depending on brand.
