      I hope you had a great time at Tulip Time. It looks like you are going to have a busy couple of weeks – we really appreciate your hard work.


      Here are the answers to your questions.


      Route Maps: I have attached the route maps for your team. We will also have copies in the vehicle packets. Please use those during the event just in case we have made a last minute change.


      Lunch Stops: Day 1, 5/31/08 – Casco United Methodist Church , 880 66th St., South Haven (Corner of 66th and 109th)

      Day 2, 6/1/08 – Robinson Elementary School , 11801 120th Ave , Grand Haven (120th between Buchanan and Rich)


      Lunch volunteers will begin to arrive at 8:30 AM. The Salvation Army is helping with our lunch this year so they will have their Canteens on site each day


      Briefing: We will have a briefing at 6:00 AM for drivers at Holland High School on 5/31. I am not sure that we will have anything on Sunday Morning. Most of our volunteers come for both days.


      Route: The routes will open at 7:00 AM and the will close at 5:00 PM both days.


      Lodging: Yes, you can still reserve rooms at Hope College . Please email Tammy Willis (she was cc’d on this message) the names of the people that will need rooms, who they would like to room with and whether they will be there for one or two nights. Check in on Friday is at between 6PM and 10PM at the Haworth Conference Center . On Saturday afternoon, check in will be in front of Gilmore Hall at the finish line.


      Vehicles: We will have 7 SAG vehicles, 8 Medical Vehicles and 2 Staff Vehicles (Shadows).


      Agencies along the route: Basically, we notify the Sherriff Departments, Road Commissions and Fire Departments and the hospital we plan to use (if needed) will be in Holland . I have attached those phone numbers along with our staff numbers. You will be working closely with the Route Manager. Her name is Kim Howard and her number is on the Staff list.


      You will also receive additional information when you arrive on Saturday at the briefing. All of the vehicles will have county maps with the routes highlighted so you can find shortcuts if necessary. The most important thing is that any key information is filtered through our Route Manager during the event. Kim will have additional action items in the event of an emergency.


      Please let me know if you have any questions. After today, I will only be able to be reached by cell phone – 248-229-1541. Otherwise, I will see you this weekend. In addition, please email Tammy the lodging information by the end of the day tomorrow. We could still get you in after tomorrow but it will be difficult to get everyone their keys and roommates.
