Come one, come all!  Enjoy a weekend learning about all things
equestrian in the SCA.  Bring yourselves, horses if you have
them and a thirst for knowledge of the equestrian arts.

This will be a Colligium format.  Some of the classes are:
Jousting, Single Sword, Horse 101/201, Buying Your First SCA
Horse, EQ Marshalling Standards and (Un)Mounted Drill.

The really nice website that Juliana has created for this event will
be ready to go live soon, and will have a full class list as well as
trail maps and other handy info. If Juliana offers to make you a
      website...take her up on it ; )

Though an equine partner is useful, many of the classes will not
necessarily require one.   Authorized riders who don't have a
horse need to make arrangements with someone who does
ahead of time if they wish to ride.  There is a possibility of private
rental horses for trail rides; you must make arrangements in
advance (I can give you the stable information, you book the
ride).  This site is NOT suitable for rider authorizations, please
attend one of your local EQ practices if you need to authorize.

We have Oak and Madrone Camps....If you plan to stay past
noon on Sun, please camp in Madrone (Oak is Fri - Sun noon)
The site opens Friday at 2pm and closes Noon on Monday.
There are pipe pens for the horses, camping, miles of trails, and
      BEACH ACCESS!

Tarnmist will be providing breakfast pastries and beverages on
Saturday morning. Please bring a dish for the Potluck dinner on
Saturday night and some form of protein for yourself if you want
      to BBQ.

There are bonfires and stories planned for the evening's
entertainment.  This site is only minutes from town and a
      Starbucks.

Though there is water for the horses, people will need to bring
      their own.

Site fee: Members $12/person.  Non-members $15.  Horse fee:
      $2/horse/night

Directions (North and South): Take 101 to Los Osos Valley Rd
exit.  Turn to the west (right for those coming from the North, left
for those from the South).  Stay on this road.  You will pass
through the outskirts of San Luis Obispo (there will be a Home
Depot and Costco on your left).  After passing through San Luis
Obispo, there will be a nice scenic stretch of road.  In about ten
minutes, you will get to the town of Los Osos.  Los Osos Valley
Rd will end at Montana de Oro State Park. SCA signs will be
      posted.

Please contact Kristin Nibbe (Kristin Hvit Hestr) autocrat
kknibbe@... (my yahoo mail is having fun at the
moment) if you are going to attend so we can arrange for
stabling and camping space (especially if you have a draft and
      need a larger pen).

Feel free to cross post to any group that might be interested.
