12294Cynagua Spring Coronet - May 23-26. 2014
- Mar 11 11:14 AM
To be held at Plumas-Sierra Fairgrounds, Quincy CA
In the 16th century, royals entertained their guests at state events with themed mounted games known as the Equestrian Masque. By the gracious permission of Their Highnesses of Cynagua, riders will present themselves on the lists field on Saturday May 24, properly accoutered for running at the rings head-to-head; first rider to spear the ring wins a point for their team. Teams will be selected by Their Highnesses, the team scoring the most points in a fixed number of turns will receive a prize. Sixteenth century clothing, masks, and caparisons are appreciated and admired, but NOT required.
Additional activities will include an opportunity to Meet and Greet the Ponies, a presentation on The Horses of Smithfield by Mistress Else Hunrvogt, and Pato or Tag the Rider in the covered arena.
Covered pipe pen corrals are available at $25/weekend (up to 2 horses in a pen). For further information on reserving a pen, equestrian authorizations and renewals, possible rental horses or scheduling other equestrian activities at this event contact Equestrian Marshal-in-Charge: Gwendwyn the Silent
