Here at WelcomeHolmes we honor Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author and "teller of tales". We follow the adventures of Sherlock Holmes, the "world's first consulting detective."

Welcome to 2015, the 16th year of WelcomeHolmes (come November). We are currently discussing The Disappearance of Lady Frances Carfax, published in the Strand Magazine, December, 1911, with illustrations by Alec Ball, and in American Magazine , in the same month, with 5 illustrations by Frederic Dorr Steele..
