Group Description

Welcome to the Watercolor Lessons by Cecilia Price Group!

Here we will post lessons and results and discuss them to get us going painting in watercolor! So far this group is going great! We have great discussions and people are growing in their abilities to paint, just by exposure and discussion! Join us and get your brushes wet!

Each month, beginning on the 15th of every month, we have a project. All of the entries get posted on one page and from the 15th to the 18th, (or thereabouts) we have a poll, and we vote on which painting we believe deserves to be on the opening page of our site. This is a lot of fun!

Last Project - was due August 16. The subject was Beaches! We had many wonderful entries to this and I congratulate everyone who entered!

We now have the winners! They are: Group A, Sue Drennan, Key West. Group I, Carol Sutton "By the Sea" Group B, Cathy Geha "Beach with Cityscape"! The picture shows who won and what painting won. Congratulations to all who entered, all of the paintings were great and it was a difficult choice!!!! This means that everyone who entered was serious about their work and that all have really advanced so much!!!!! I'm very impressed with all the paintings!!!!

Our next project will be METALS. Anything to do with any metallic surface. This is new to me also. These will be in transparent watercolor.

I am so excited about all the entries this month, everyone, thank you for your efforts! They were all so well done that the choices were difficult, as said by many participants!

Keep PAINTING Y'all!
