      Friday, October 5th, 2012 is one year to the date of an important event in
      North American and First Nation's history - the 200th Anniversary of the
      Battle of the Thames where the great Warrior, Tecumseh was killed, ending
      the dream of a Native Confederacy in North America. Tecumseh has been
      designated by the Government of Canada as one of the four official heroes
      from the War of 1812.

      Don't miss the exciting announcements by The Battle of the Thames Committee,
      the Southern First Nations Secretariat - 1812 Committee, Community Partners,
      and the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. Did you know that the Battle of the
      Thames has secured renowned actor, Graham Greene as their spokesperson?
      Don't miss this opportunity to discover the outstanding War of 1812
      commemorations, events and projects in the works for Chatham-Kent.

      There are Funding announcements, news releases of exciting commemorations,
      event plans unveiled, community partnerships highlighted - all on Friday,
      October 5th at 3pm at the site of the Tecumseh Monument (Longwoods Road).
