EVENT DATE: September 1-2, 2012
DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION: AUGUST 17, 2012
WHAT TO EXPECT: A moderate daily schedule of public-friendly, military and civilian activities; afternoon tactical scenario each day; evening tactical Saturday night.
PLUS (NEW THIS YEAR): A Ladies' Tea AND Regency English Country dancing.
PERKS: Registered participants will receive a FREE HOT BREAKFAST each day; and a FREE DINNER Saturday night, consisting of a hearty stew, bread and beverage. The fort's food service facility, Prideau's Head, will be open for the purchase of lunches, if desired.
Unit representatives please get in touch via email (jbrubaker@...) or telephone (716-745-7611 ext. 225) prior to the deadline. Be prepared to provide the following information: unit name; contact person details; anticipated number of participants (combatant vs. noncombatant); expected tent space requirements (wedge#/wall#/fly#/other); and whether your camp style is "regular/military" or "irregular/militia".
Sutlers and demonstrators are also welcome to apply.
While Old Fort Niagara's registration system generally is intended to deal with units as a whole, individual inquiries are also welcome.
